CETA Foundation Presents the 3rd Annual Athletic, Arts and Entertainment Symposium
Former Pro Athlete, Stevie Baggs Jr. and the City Tackle Health & Wellness Threats in Atlanta
Former NFL/CFL athlete turned actor and City of Atlanta Health and Wellness Ambassador, Stevie Baggs Jr., in partnership with the City of Atlanta’s Healthier You initiative, presents the 3rd Annual Athletic, Arts and Entertainment Symposium on July 12, 2014, 8am-3:30pm (EDT) at the Adamsville Recreation Center (3201 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30311).
The 2014 AAE Symposium will combat the cycle of poor lifestyle choices that threaten the health and wellness of low-income communities in Atlanta and surrounding areas. Children, and parents alike, will experience a day of empowerment through celebrity and athlete mentorship segments, and hands-on activities that promote a healthier lifestyle – mentally, physically and financially.
This year’s celebrity and athletic mentors include: Rushia Brown, Rashan Ali, Eric Weems, Q Parker, Nick Collins, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (Giants), Demaryius Thomas (Broncos), Eddie Drummond (Former Lions), Casey Hayward (Green Bay Packers), Celentria Adams (Falcons Cheerleader), Vernon Hamilton (Cavaliers) Trina Braxton, Rhavynn Drummer (casting director Tyler Perry Studios), Alpha Tyler (casting director, Being Mary Jane), Brad James, Rodney Perry, Bambi (Love & Hip Hop), Emmanuel Hudson, Claudia Jordan, Jock McKissic
Baggs, president of the CETA Foundation, says, “We have been able to leverage our initial foundation of previously successful football camps and lifestyle programs to evolve this year’s annual symposium into something that encompasses athletics, the arts and entertainment as a draw to broaden our reach and to greater impact our community. With the city and major influentials on board, we are excited to host another great event.”
